You've got Samurai who cuts stuff, a biker who hits stuff with a chain, a noose Guy, who does noose stuff, the little sentient avocado with meathooks for hands who is surprisingly an accomplished classical pianist. Throw in Denise Crosby doing her very best in spite of the material and a kid who it turns out really didn't need to be there, and you have a movie that I can't for the life of me understand why I like so much. Mama mia! Spider Labyrinth? This Italian horror movie stole my punk rock name! Dammit. Luckily, this thing is FUCKING WEIRD. Which makes everything alright in my book. In a cookie cutter Lovecraft story about a professor who goes crazy researching a cult and another professor continuing his research, there's some real nuggets of awesomeness. And some slow boring parts that they seem to have forgotten to add music to. Join Matt and Tristan as they run full steam to the center of the Spider Labyrinth.

Their two little person grandchildren like to watch them have sex, and one of the little people is sometimes a person and sometimes a puppet. The puppet eventually eats himself. The band looks like Manowar and sounds like a watered down Air Supply. The zombies are allergic to heads. Tale as old as time. Guys. I'm sorry...but get ready for Hard Rock Zombies.

We join some murderous punkers who may be named Scratch and Gearbox, (possibly Earbox?) and Robert Z'Dar of Maniac Cop as they go on a killing and kidnap spree, based on a vague rumor of them having money? There's a film within a film...it's like torture porn that's too silly to get upset about...Add in about 50 full minutes of just walking around in the woods, plus two bookends that make no sense and you've got a movie so bad that even Linda Blair wishes it wasn't on her IMDB page. On this Fun Box Monster Podcast, Tristan and Matt talk about what should have been a 23 minute Monsters episode but was instead made into what feels like a 3 hour movie... Grotesque.
